Evolution of the Trail – PowerPoint Presentation by Ryan Wakshinski

The trail project was developed and financed through the Province of Manitoba’s Department of Conservation and Water Stewardship. Ryan Wakshinski, a Landscape Architect with the Parks and Protected Spaces Branch, and project manager for the trail construction, kept a photographic record of the main activities involved with the construction; from clearing trees to installing the boardwalk and the washrooms. As on any project Ryan encountered many obstacles, including dealing with huge boulders in the soil along the access road, parking lot and the gravel portion of the trail, and delays due to flooding in Alberta. Ryan, thank you for your dedication to the trail and for providing this presentation.
