We are hiring a couple of senior high school students to provide interpreted tours from mid-June to the end of August. The students will conduct two tours per day (10am and 1pm). The tours will cost:

                   Adults (20+):                                     $25 per person

                   Teens (13-19):                                  $10 per person

Children (12 and under):               Free (with an adult)

Tours may be booked on our website at www.debwendon.org starting in mid-June (a notice will be placed on our website). The hiring of the students is being made possible because of a grant from the Green Spaces program of the United Nations in Canada Association, which will pay part of their wages. If no one has signed up for a tour the students will help with chores such as sweeping the boardwalk and removing weeds in the parking lot and access road. As well there may be opportunities for them to be involved with water testing, zebra mussel monitoring, insect collection, plant and bird identification, and other duties as assigned.

Visitors will continue to be welcome to use the self-guided trail at no charge, but we hope you will consider supporting our students and the trail by booking a guided tour this summer.
